FAQ’S

How long does it take?

BROWS & LIPS - allow up to 3 hours for the first appointment and up to 1.5 hours for the touch up.

LASH ENHANCEMENT - allow up to 2 hours for the first appointment and 1 hour for the touch up.

FINE LINE TATTOO - these can take from 30 minutes to multiple hours. This will be communicated to you on receiving your booking request.

In saying this - please do not make any commitments following your appointment. Anything can happen and we may unexpectedly need extra time. Note, I will not rush a tattoo appointment because you have somewhere to be.

Does it hurt?

Some discomfort is to be expected with tattoos.

BROWS - I prefer to do the outline and first layer without any numb. Once the skin is open I will then apply a numbing gel which is effective within a few minutes. After this has been applied majority of clients will not feel a thing! The numbing gel is re applied during the duration of your appointment to maintain comfort.

If you prefer to pre numb you are welcome to purchase Emla from a local pharmacy and apply this at least 1 hour before your appointment. Cover with cling wrap and wear this to your appointment.

LIPS AND LASH ENHANCEMENT - I will pre numb the area before starting the tattoo. The numbing gel is re applied during the duration of your appointment to maintain comfort.

do not use or recommend using any numbing solutions during a Fine Line Tattoo appointment.

How long will Cosmetic Tattoo last?

Cosmetic Tattoo generally lasts between 12-24 months before needing a colour boost appointment.

Skin type, medications, health conditions, environmental factors and post aftercare can all effect the longevity of your tattoo.

Am I allowed to bring my friend/child/pet to my appointment?
I politely ask that you do not bring additional guests to your appointment, including children and pets. Tattooing requires a lot of concentration and in the past I have found additional guests to be too distracting. For this reason, and for safety reasons, I do not allow additional guests in the studio.

Is there an age limit for tattoo?

Yes - all clients must be 18 years or older.

What kind of custom Fine Line tattoos can I request?

I focus on simplistic line work tattoos. Designs can include small amounts of shading. I will politely decline your request if I feel it does not align with my style and/or experience.

Do you work over old Tattoo?

I am open to working over old Cosmetic Tattoo however it does depend on the shape, saturation and colour of your old tattoo as well as the condition of your skin. You must contact me with photos or come in for a free consult before making an appointment. These requests are subject to approval.

I am open to touching up another artists fine line work however I do not offer cover ups. Again, these requests are subject to approval.

What if I can no longer make my appointment?

We understand things happen and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please do this with as much notice as possible by contacting us direct or through the Fresha booking application.

To avoid any penalties you will need to provide at least 48 hours notice if you are wanting to cancel or reschedule. Please refer to our ‘Policies’ section on our website for more information on cancellation and no show fees.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes! You can contact me to arrange a free 15 minute consultation. This is especially important if you have previous Cosmetic Tattoo that you are wanting me to work over. These appointments are subject to approval.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes - a deposit is required for all services. Deposits are non refundable and are put towards the total cost of your appointment.

Do you offer payment plans?

I offer Laybuy. Alternatively, I am happy for you to make instalments leading up to your appointment. Any balance due is payable at the appointment.

Please let me know if you plan on using either of these options.

I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I still get Cosmetic Tattoo?

Unfortunately I cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant or exclusively breastfeeding.

If you are breastfeeding but bottle feeding your baby is an option, you may receive Cosmetic Tattoo if you are prepared to exclusively bottle feed (formula/previously expressed milk) for 24 hours following your treatment. Breastfeeding can then be continued after this period.

What will I look like following my Cosmetic Tattoo appointment?

A fresh brow and lip tattoo will always be bold. Redness and some swelling is to be expected - this will subside after a few hours.

What can/can’t I do before/after a tattoo appointment?

This information can be found here.

How do you choose the colour and shape for my Cosmetic Tattoo?

When doing the pre draw of your new tattoo I will use your own features to create a rough design. This includes using your natural brow/lip shapes  and other facial features. We will then perfect this taking into consideration your own preferences and my professional opinion. We will only start tattooing once we are both 100% happy with the final design.

Brow colour is chosen to match that of your natural brow colour or brow tint if you tint your brows.

Lip colour is usually your preference of a peach, pink or red tone. Warmer colours and colours that age well are mostly recommended.

I am happy with my tattoo after the first session. Do I need to have a 2nd session?

If you are happy with the healed result after the first session you do not have to complete a touch up session.

I do however recommend a second session for all Cosmetic Tattoos to really make the tattoo pop and to prolong the life of the tattoo that little bit more.

Is there a toilet/parking at the studio?

Yes we have a toilet.

Free on street parking is available in front of the studio. Please refrain from parking directly in front of the building.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR TATTOO?

It is really important to determine if your skin is suited for Tattoo. Your age, skin quality and health all need to be taken into consideration.

Some health conditions and contraindications to tattooing can compromise the end result. It is important to advise your technician if you have any existing conditions or if you are on any medication so we can assess any increased risks and manage your expectations.

Depending on the severity of some health conditions and contraindications to tattooing, we may request a Doctors clearance.

This is for your own health an safety!
